KNB1511- New Testament Greek I – ONLINE
Course Description: An exploration of the content and milieu of early Christian writings. Emphasis will be placed upon understanding these writings in their original socio-historical contexts and in the associated field of literature of the Ancient Mediterranean world pertinent to the Early Christian writings. The course will also labor in reading the Early Christian literature in lieu of the available synchronic and diachronic methods of interpretation advanced by classical Historical Criticism, New History and Cultural History. Seminars are of a dialectic format and will explore the literature and documents which are testament to the social-historical context of the Greco-Roman and Second Temple Jewish worlds.
This course is a pre-requisite for Greek Exegesis.
