Course Description: This course deals with the many intersections of music and worship within a Christian context, and more specifically, within a Presbyterian worship service. While we will study the history of Christian worship music from its earliest manifestations, and note the development of Christian worship music through historical units, there will be a strong practical element, with emphasis on the purpose of Christian music in the experience of spirituality (both in an out of worship services).
